Cutting Tools are tools used in mechanical engineering for cutting operations. The vast majority of tools are for machine use, but there are also hand tools. The term "tool" is generally understood to mean a metal cutting tool, as the tools used in mechanical engineering are basically used to cut metal materials. Tools for cutting wood are called woodworking tools. There is also a special category of tools for geological exploration, well-drilling and mine drilling, called mining tools.
